Open Ocean

  Ahoy-- he who dares vastness beyond and below, engulfs the unknown. When in a conversation and the topic somehow stumbles onto one's fears, I would often say I have trypophobia. And though I find haphazardly arranged tiny holes extremely uncomfortable (seriously, it gives me shivers down my spine), there is one thing I fear more and it's something most people find enchanting: the ocean.   I do know how to swim, but that's not the case. I love to snorkel for as long as I thread close to the boat. I'm not afraid of the ocean because I might drown, no-- though death is instinctively averted at all cause. I'm afraid of what it has underneath.  There's something about the ocean that makes it so massive; as if it will swallow you whole the moment you dip your toes into the water.
